Injection Moulding

Dolphin has 25 injection moulding machines (Sumitomo, Boy, Arburg, Engel and NPM Unyka) ranging from 5 tonnes to 165tonnes clamp and shot capacity from 0.05 gms to 360 gms. Many of these machines are entirely closed-loop for maximum efficiency and precision. In addition, there are two horizontal-platen machines for specialised insert moulding applications.

Many of these machines are equipped with computer-controlled robots for faultless process management, offering repeated and consistent quality all the time. During 2002/2003, Dolphin manufactured about 100 different types of components.

Dolphin has been moulding a wide range of plastics such as ABS, PA, PA6/66, POM, ABS/PC, PP, HDPE. Consequently, a substantial experience and expertise has been gained about processing characteristics, final product property and suitability of specific plastics for specific application. This experience is shared with customers in the form of assistance with material selection for new products.
